Clam Bake in the Boom

Be part of the first ever Clam Bake in the Boom event, where local food, wine, fashion, and fun are all on the menu.
Join Thomas’s for a long lunch with fresh local clams and mussels from Cloudy Bay Clams, served family style, with delicious chilled wines from te Pa Family Vineyards. Set in a dreamy beach setting (complete with sand, umbrellas and flamingos, so bring your jandals and your sun hats) outside the iconic Thomas’s Department Store, the inaugural Clam Bake in the Boom is the perfect way to start the festivities of the Marlborough Wine & Food Festival weekend.
Your ticket includes award-winning wine from te Pa Wines throughout the event, beautifully cooked and sustainably harvested local seafood from Cloudy Bay Clams, chorizo from Peter the Swiss Butcher, corn, and fresh baked breads from local bakery de Broods, with condiments from Boom! hot sauce from Fran Nolan, and cold Boomtown beer. Chef Sander de Wildt will be cooking up the clam bake from his Karaka Cuisine food truck, and music will be provided all afternoon.
This is an R18 event.

Marlborough Artisan Market, Wine & Food Street Market
The Marlborough Artisan Craft Market is once again hosting the pre Wine and Food Festival market on Friday the 8th of February.
They will be hosting your favourite artisans from the top of the south plus other artisans from further afield.
The market will be held in the centre of town transforming Market Place into a fun, colourful and interesting place from 9am until 3 pm.
Twilight Sounds Cruise
4.45-9.30pm, Marlborough Sounds
Experience a wonderful Marlborough Sounds dinner cruise at twilight. Buses will depart Blenheim at 5pm for Picton, where guests will board the Marlborough Tour Company launch MV Odyssea at 5.30pm and cruise into the Marlborough Sounds for an evening of fine wine, delicious cuisine and stunning scenery.
To start, enjoy fantastic seafood tasting of Regal Salmon, Cloudy Bay Clams and green shell mussels, followed by a fabulous dinner onboard the boat. For dinner you’ll enjoy peach and mango glazed baked leg of ham, carved right in front of you on board MV Odyssea, accompanied by fresh salads. Fully licensed bar facilities on board for all beverage purchases.
