As always Wine and Food was one of my favourite days out in Marlborough.
The wineries did not disappoint this Festival with an eclectic range of displays, but standing out from their peers and deservedly judged
Although clearly much time and effort had gone into the planning and execution of their design , Jane and her team still managed to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment that was neither calculated or deliberate.
The distinctly country flavour was created with the use of vintage furniture and fabulous floral displays all sourced from the owners properties.
With almost a country fate feel visitors were compelled to stop for a while, shelter from the sun under an umbrella with a glass of something delicious.
Fabric printed with the Astrolabe logo gave the effect of wallpaper, a distressed harvest table with wooden schoolhouse chairs lent a farmhouse feel while an antique artists easel displayed a stunning floral wreath handmade by Jane. Rattan chairs, rough wooden counter fronts and masses of fresh foliage completed the picture.
All in all completely charming.
